From the first bite, experience a chef-curated Italian Market Food Tour led by locals who live here. Step inside neighborhood shops and savor imported cheeses, slow-roasted pork sandwiches, and legendary Isgro’s cannoli. We will eat our way through the market and shop to stock your pantry. Walk the historic streets of South Philadelphia shaped by generations of families, shopkeepers, bakers, butchers, and shop owners.

What to Expect

Big, generous tastings along the way! A hearty roast pork sandwich (substitutions allowed) — you definitely won’t leave hungry.
Say cheese! Calling all cheese lovers — cheese mongers serve up their favorite cheese combos for you.
Time to shop! Our guests receive an exclusive shopping discount. Feel free to bring a shopping bag and/or cooler. StrEATS of Philly shopping bags available for purchase — ask your tour guide.
Insider stories, gossip, and local history! These are woven naturally throughout the food tour.
I cannoli say! Enjoy our last stop at Isgro Pastries, served with a side of espresso.

The food tour runs approximately two hours and is ideal for first-time visitors and locals alike. Vegetarian and other dietary needs are thoughtfully accommodated whenever possible.

I am committed to sharing culinary knowledge and expertise so that people who enjoy food can take their senses to new heights by simply tasting food around Philadelphia.

With more than 35 years in hospitality and 16 years in business, I share the best foods, chef pairings and tips, coupled with fun and true Philly-style flair. My friendships with shop owners, restaurateurs, and culinary colleagues enhance the experience for my guests.

We are warmly greeted by shop owners, exchanging hugs across the counter, sharing scrumptious samples and welcoming us like family.

I have great memories of growing up and shopping with my family at the Italian Market, and this is the knowledge I enjoy sharing. I’m sharing my childhood; the people, local stories, history, and businesses. They are all a part of who I am – and I love sharing this with you!

When you come on our food tours, you’ll see Philly in a way that’s authentic and full of our favorite F-words, food and fun.
